Green tea has more health benefits than black tea mainly due to the processing. Processing of Green tea avoids the fermentation process. As a result, green tea retains the maximum amount of antioxidants and poly-phenols the substances that give green tea its many benefits. Here are some of the benefits of having Green Tea.


Weight loss: It increases the metabolic rate which in turn helps the body to spend more amount of energy, thus helping an individual to lose some pounds.


Heart Diseases: Green Tea increases the Antioxidant capacity of the blood, which protects the LDL particles from oxidation. It may also protect against the formation of clots which are the primary cause of Heart attacks.


Diabetes: Green tea helps in regulating glucose levels slowing the rise of blood sugar after eating.


Cholesterol: Green Tea helps in the reduction of bad cholesterol in the blood and helps in improving the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol.


Blood Pressure: Regular consumption of Green Tea may help in reducing the risk of increased blood pressure.


Cancer: Researchers believe that it is the high level of polyphenols in Green tea that helps kill cancerous cells and stop them from growing.


Skin: Green tea can apparently also help with wrinkles and the signs of aging, This is because of their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.
